Thanks, Nan. A great resume really is important and can make the difference between getting the interview or NOT getting the interview.

Hi GL,

Definitely fine tune and customize the resume to meet the requirements of the company (if the client has the experience, of course). I don't use a specific formatting tip as each resume is uniquely tailored to each client, but keywords specific to the job will help.

Thanks, and thanks for the comment!

What a wonderfully informative post - so practical. I think in the competitive environment we're in, a top-notch resume is a must. Certainly, writing your own presents a daunting task.

Erin, good post, as usual. Your tips are sure to help all the job seekers out there. I have advised people to fine tune or tailor their resume to match the company. Do you recommend this as well?
Do you have a formatting tip that might make this easier?
Keep up the good work. IF more people used your services....we would have fewer people looking and more people GETTING the jobs they deserve.
